Protect against the erosion of retired employee benefits
through continually reviewing:
1. The impact of inflation and resulting loss of purchasing power of all
beneficiaries of The Detroit Edison Company Employees’ Retirement Plan and
The Michigan Consolidated Employees’ Retirement Plan – including pensions and
health care.
2. The periodic changes made to said plans but not applied to previous
beneficiaries regardless of their date of retirement
3. The Detroit Edison Health Care and Group Life Insurance Plan with emphasis on
shared cost of all Surviving Spouses of the medical portion of this plan.
